Wellesley opened its doors to the 578 members of the green class of 2029 in August. They come from 41 states plus the District of Columbia, as well as 24 nations of citizenship. Nineteen percent of the class are first-generation college students, 54% are domestic students of color, and 52% come from a home where at least one language other than English is spoken. The most common first name in the class: Sophia (12 students).
