The Wellesley College Alumnae Association’s annual Sed Ministrare Volunteer Awards recognize dedicated volunteer service to Wellesley and celebrate alums who embody the College’s motto, Non Ministrari sed Ministrare. The 2025 recipients, Linda Ho ’03 and Amy Huang ’99, were announced at the College update from the Wellesley College Alumnae Association at reunion.

Ho has been an active volunteer for Wellesley since 2008, when she served on the Washington State Wellesley Club’s board as its admission representative. She has since volunteered as a HIVE mentor for Career Education, as her class’s Wellesley Fund representative, and as a Schuler volunteer committee member for the Wellesley Fund. Ho continues to serve with the Wellesley Club of Silicon Valley and Northern California. She volunteered as the co-chair of its newsletter editing team, then took on the role of communications chair starting in 2022, a position she still holds.

Ho has worked tirelessly to manage the club’s website and range of communications.

One nominator summed up her work by writing, “Linda has been the backbone of the WCSV since she joined. … Linda consistently demonstrates a meticulous approach to her work, ensuring that every project is executed flawlessly and on time. … Her ability to keep her team organized and on track has consistently kept our club running smoothly.”

Huang is a devoted and multifaceted volunteer for Wellesley. She began her volunteer work with the Admission Office in 2005. She volunteered as an interviewer, admission representative, and panelist, and has worked with other campus organizations such as Career Education, where she served as a HIVE mentor, a HIVE speaker volunteer, Mentorship Affinity Pod mentor, and as a Coding Bootcamp panelist for the Upskill program. She served on the Alumnae Association’s board of directors from 2020 to 2024.

Huang has also volunteered with the Zoë Sarbanes Pappas ’66 Wellesley-in-Washington Internship Program to find alum volunteers who will provide student internships, mentor students, speak on panels, meet with the interns, help them find internships and jobs, and host the welcome dinner. She also helps with other Washington Wellesley Club events.

One of Huang’s nominations began, “Amy has consistently been a community builder, a friend, and a champion of all things Wellesley. She’s an active participant in our Facebook groups, in person, and has served on ‘all of the things!’ committee-wise.” Another nomination stated, “Huang has contributed to the success of thousands of Wellesley students and alumnae through a variety of endeavors, both official and personal, and truly embodies Non Ministrari sed Ministrare.”
