On June 30, after a decade at Wellesley, Cameran Lougy Mason ’84, vice president of Resources, left the College to become the chief development officer at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Mason led the planning and execution of Wellesley’s Campaign to advance the Wellesley Effect, the largest fund-raising effort to be undertaken by a women’s college, which just hit its $500 million goal, a full year ahead of schedule—talk about a mic drop!
“While Cameran has engaged so effectively with top donors and alumnae—and secured the largest gift in the College’s history—she has always viewed the College’s campaign as a collaborative endeavor,” President Paula Johnson said when announcing Mason’s departure. “Each member of her dedicated team has played an integral role in the management of this successful campaign, and last year, Wellesley received the 2017 CASE Educational Fund-Raising Award for overall performance, an honor that recognizes ‘superior fund-raising programs at educational institutions across the country.’ ”
