Sophomore Tree Planting
On a warm September afternoon during Family and Friends Weekend, the class of 2018 gathered to plant a saucer magnolia on Green Beach. They marked the occasion with song and poetry, and then took turns filling in dirt around the tree that will mark their presence on campus for decades to come. The tool of choice? The traditional Tree Day spade, used by generations of classes before them.
