Season of Protest
In December 2014, a large group of students and faculty came together to protest decisions in Ferguson, Mo., and Staten Island, N.Y., not to indict police officers for the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Chanting “Hands up, don’t shoot,” and “No justice, no peace!” the group held die-ins in the passage to President Kim Bottomly’s office and the Lulu Chow Wang Campus Center.
